coralcouk – This weekend is FA Cup weekend and I am hoping to pick out one or two shocks for the upcoming fourth round matches that could help you win a few quid on the best and most watched club trophy outside the Champions League.
The ties of the round are both premiership affairs with the Merseyside derby of Liverpool and Everton being the main attraction closely followed by Manchester United’s tie against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford. Although I think both home sides will prevail (Liverpool and Man-Utd) I think both games will be tight affairs with both sides going through by the odd goal.

The potential shock of the round I think could well come at Portsmouth who if truth be told are not playing well at all and in their game with Swansea City who come from the league below but have not lost in a few months I have a feeling that the Welsh side will sneak through to the next round by the odd goal or by a replay.

Another big tie this week is the East Midlands tussle involving out of form Derby County and Nottingham Forest who have both been managed by the legendary Brian Clough and I am sure will have a brilliant atmosphere at Pride Park for the game in which I see the away side Forest winning comfortably 2 or 3 nil.

One thing I will say though is too look around at a few websites before picking your FA Cup bet because some of the bookies hand out some mega prices on the lower league sides playing at higher sides just like Forest was an amazing 9/1 to win at Man City in the last round in which they coasted 3 nil.

Now www.sportingindex.com is different to any other betting sites that you may be used to because they are the world’s leaders when it comes to spread betting. Now spread betting is completely different to the kinds of betting that your average Joe might be used to, by this I refer to fixed odds betting.

BET NOW

They do not offer odds on half as many different sports as most of the betting sites do but again this is because their main focus is spread betting. Spread betting allows you to win more than you think if you’re willing go higher or lower than the prediction of sporting index, but at the same time you can lose more than your original stake, there is a special body called the FSA who decide on who is and isn’t allowed to join a spread betting site.

Sporting Index also have games available to play on their website, the one they seem to be promoting the most at the moment is called “Beat the Keeper” but it is still associated with spread betting.
The majority of the homepage is made up of links to the different sporting events either currently happening, or close to happening, for example as I type this, the top 4 links are all on the Masters Snooker, obviously because this is currently live so they are trying to promote people to bet as it happens.

One good thing about this site is that understandably people can be sceptical of spread betting so they do have a play for fun option available to give people a chance to see what it’s all about.

If you enjoy the odd flutter now and again on a wide range of activities, then coral.co.uk is the place for you.
The first time i visited the site, i was impressed by the way the straightforward navigation takes you immediately to where you want to be. An ultra-fast betting site, what could be better?

BET NOW

After some more browsing on the navigation bar, it became more apparent that you can literally bet on any given sport.
The inclusion of live betting aswell is seen as a master-stroke, to be able to bet goal by goal, frame by frame, point by point makes the experience more enjoyable than ever before.
If there are no sports scheduled that you usually bet on, you can try your hand at the virtual sports option with the choice of football, horse and greyhound racing which are just as much fun as the real thing.
Upon opening an account with coral, you will receive a welcome bonus. Bonuses may vary from time to time with whatever promotion they are running, but nonetheless the bonus you receive once an account is opened is generous to say the least.
On further inspection, there are numerous online games to be played. If you prefer, there are plenty of casino games to be played including slot machines, blackjack and four different types of poker.

Most games can also be played for fun in that they do not cost anything to play if you wish to gain some playing experience before playing for real monies.
The site also has a bet calculator to offer for accumulator betting and is a very simple but useful tool to use for the more serious gambler.
Alas, the best feature is the link to their sister site gala bingo site which can be used with your newly created coral account.

In short, coral is one of the better sites to register with and hours of fun are there to be had for all.

With English sport taking a battering recently with all the fiasco surrounding the Cricket team in the news for the wrong reasons at the minute it is the Rugby Union team that after one of the worst years on record will be left to try and put a smile back on English fans faces with the start of the six nations tournament just around the corner.

BET NOW

England’s first game is on February 7th against the normal whipping boys of the tournament in Italy at Twickenham and us fans can only hope that coach Martin Johnson has sorted out the obvious problems that encountered the English side in there horrible collapses against the powerful southern hemisphere sides at the end of 2008. I think they will be too good for the Italians though and I think the English side will romp it by over 40 points. One player who seems to be knocking on the door of a call up is full back Ben Foden and this is one position where England do look sort in, his coach at Northampton has called for him to gain honours and after his brilliant performance in helping his side beat the best in Britain at the moment in Leicester that 1st cap might not be too far off.

Tournament favourites and last year’s Grand Slam winners Wales start this year’s campaign on Sunday the 8th against Scotland at Murray field and with wing wizard Shane Williams now looking better than he did last year it will be hard for the Scottish to get anything out of this fixture and I fancy the Welsh to cruise home by at least 15 points.
