coralcouk – This weekend is FA Cup weekend and I am hoping to pick out one or two shocks for the upcoming fourth round matches that could help you win a few quid on the best and most watched club trophy outside the Champions League.
The ties of the round are both premiership affairs with the Merseyside derby of Liverpool and Everton being the main attraction closely followed by Manchester United’s tie against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford. Although I think both home sides will prevail (Liverpool and Man-Utd) I think both games will be tight affairs with both sides going through by the odd goal.
The potential shock of the round I think could well come at Portsmouth who if truth be told are not playing well at all and in their game with Swansea City who come from the league below but have not lost in a few months I have a feeling that the Welsh side will sneak through to the next round by the odd goal or by a replay.
Another big tie this week is the East Midlands tussle involving out of form Derby County and Nottingham Forest who have both been managed by the legendary Brian Clough and I am sure will have a brilliant atmosphere at Pride Park for the game in which I see the away side Forest winning comfortably 2 or 3 nil.
One thing I will say though is too look around at a few websites before picking your FA Cup bet because some of the bookies hand out some mega prices on the lower league sides playing at higher sides just like Forest was an amazing 9/1 to win at Man City in the last round in which they coasted 3 nil.
